Explaining the rise of keys in refined, and the drop of refined in USD

Back in the 'good old days', when keys were 2.66 refined, all was bad. Keys were too expensive! Fast-forward to 2015 Q1, keys are 19 refined, all is bad. People have always complained about the price of keys. But are they rightfully doing so?   In 2012 (and earlier), keys sold for about 2.33 (2.66 later) refined and no more. Refined sold for about $0.40 PayPal, and keys were $1.20. This was because of carders, people who use stolen credit cards and launder money. In the TF2 economy, carders bo

The keyhole

Through the keyhole the boy stared, the circular point with a wedge stuck on its bottom. Through it was a white light, it revealed the contents of the next room. The boy stepped back to turn the knob, and when his hand touched the knob it was met with a sickening cold, and then a nonfeeling. He tried to step back, but the feeling traveled up his arm. An irresistible urge led him to look back through the knob. Through it he saw a coffin, and realized his fate. The cold chill reached his heart, an

My Split Mind

I don't usually make a blog entry, but I thought it was better to vent in a section barely anyone sees than bug other people who might have other things better to do than listen to me (which is practically everyone, since everyone has something important to do in their own lives).   Lately, I've been having a split mind. I don't mean this in a physical sense where my mind is cut into two halves, but metaphorically as it feel as though I have two personalities. One side of me is the side I stri

...and stupidity.   I am the Alpha. I am the Omega. I have done many idiotic things. Some I am not proud of, some I show in pride. There were times when I thought there were no consequences. As well as times where I ran head in and laughed at what would come.   I have made a mistake. I acknowledge this. All my slow, idiotically young life, I have always sought mistakes. As known by many, failures make you learn more than your successes.     The only dream in life I have is to learn

Breaaking News: Scientists discover new virus spreading in the Steam Community

Recent research headed by the eminent scientist Nabe Gewell has proven that a new virus is spreading among members of the esteemed Steam Community. No name has been officially given to this newly discovered noro-virus, but certain users have nicknamed it ‘Loebola’ – however, general opinion of this name is similar to how the average trader reacts to dealing with 9 year olds with the brain capacity of a goldfish on crack. Symptoms of this disease include semi-literacy, a propensity for clic

A lone rocket

A corrugated hose snapped into place on the female port on the side of the rocket's disposable thrusters, in preparation for launch. At the flip of a lever, the mechanism locked and the liquid fuel flowed into the compartment. Thousands of gallons would be needed to fill the cavernous tank. A few vehicles made their slow escape from the launch pad, one remaining to ferry the fueling vehicle back to the hangar. After a few minutes, the fueling was complete, and the rocket was turned on. Its compu

Self incrimination

He slammed his broad blade into the doorjamb, splintering it's edge and knocking a piece of wood out. Another slam brought the widening hole in the door to a point at which he could manually deactivate the deadbolt. With it out of the way, he quietly slid the door open, laughing to himself at his caution after having bludgeoned the door open. He walked inside the house, the soft dusk light filtering through the fancy blinds, oblivious to the carnage the door had borne witness to. He slammed the

Too Much Time

I copied angel's style, I'm gonna put some poems on here.   At the root of insanity Is having too much time on your hands-- Too much time to think-- Too much time to remember past hurts And to wish things could be different.   Too much time spent alone, Staring at these four walls With too much time to think, To remember past hurts And to wish things were different.   Got to rid myself of this insanity. I'll busy myself with a flurry of activities And seek

My thoughts on emotion.

I've often wondered what that feeling is that you have normally, the feeling that isn't really a feeling but a numbness, a lack of feeling, when you're in no particular mood (like I am now) and simply existing, your emotions in complete control and lax. That simple numbness that perhaps should not be described as numbness, for it is not apathy but simple ceasing of the emotional turbulence that is normally associated with being, and instead a smooth coast along the emotional timeline, coasting t

A sunken ship

A futuristic fishing trawler sailed through the water in the antarctic. This ship was part of an elite fleet that ran on a uranium reactor, and it's greatest feature was it's hull heating system, which allowed it to break through the ice like butter, as the ice wouldn't stick to the side of the hull if the hull was warm. The heated water used to cool the reactor ran through leaden pipes along the sides of the hull at exactly the level that the ship sat comfortably at in the water. As such, the r

the cynicism

Welcome to my daily, and sometimes even hourly ramblings of a mad man. Most of these I keep in a notebook I hide in a falsebotom drawer, but there are times when me just writing them down isn't good enough.   I do online classes, they take a ton of time. Ill work for three hours, goofoff for one, and back to work. Maybe they on a trade server while I work. I spend a lot of time online. Some might say too much. One thing I've noticed is the general growing amount of cynicism out there. I don't

My Top 10 Metallica Songs

The biggest Trash-Metal will be my next.   As last time, I've excluded any cover songs from this list, so no Garage Inc. songs.   1.   While most seem to go Master of Puppets as their #1 I choose this, this ballad is great. When people tell me "heavy metal is just a bunch of screaming and loud instruments" I usually put this on, and most tend to like it no matter if they like metal generally or not.   2.   It's known by almost everyone who ever heard about Metallica, great song wi

The year was 2005.

5/5/2005. I was eight years old, almost nine. It was a cool winter's day in south florida, at a village methodist. A black boy's teeth chattered, lightly but audibly, a few feet away. He was clad in a green striped windbreaker. Across the large property, a slide could be seen. In front of the slide was the sandpit, where I and friends on occasion could be found digging up the hardened sandstone and bringing it out of the ground carefully to slide down this slide. There were occasions we would ma

My Top 10 Guns N' Roses Songs

The most dangerous band in the world shall be my first turn.   I'd Like to mention before I start that I've excluded cover songs, that means no or .  1.   I really like like the intro on it, the main riff kick so much ass you wouldn't even know it, and of course the chorus. Who wouldn't want to be taken down to the Paradise City where the grass is green and the girls are pretty? Or as Slash thought the line should've been "Where the girls are fat, and they've got big titties".

Random Fire Emblem Facts Part 2

Many people think that the Marriage and children mechanic in Fire Emblem Awakening was the first in the series to do that, but however, this isn't the case. Genealogy of the Holy War did this first. In GotHW, the characters not only pass down skills, but they also pass down their weapons, including what we call "Holy Weapons", which are absurdly powerful.   Speaking of Genealogy of the Holy War, it and it's midquel (?) are the only two games that change how much damage a critical hit does.
