Looking for the tech savvy

Hey what's up,

For the last 5 and a half years I've been playing tf2 on a mac book pro please don't judge but I've finally grown sick and tired of the crashes and slow connection speeds, memory shortage and inability to play other great games. For those reasons I've decided to purchase a pc to take my tf2 experience to this next level. This is a power move for me, and as I'm still in college and trying to keep my priorities straight I only have a $1000 to spend on both the pc itself to the monitor (I have keyboard, mouse, and headphones covered). The most technological prowess I've ever attained was haphazardly glueing the insides of a broken ds cartridge together to make it work again so I'm really not that proficient and computer talk just goes over my head. So I turn to the community, who knows volumes more than I do about computers than I do, and I ask: what is the best pc/monitor I can purchase on my budget to maximize specifically my tf2 experience (links would be greatly appreciated!)

Thanks!

Hi,

I don't know much about the prices in US but you can get some help here:

My roommate got a more than decent laptop from US last year for almost $850, and that was a laptop :3

You should be able to build a good one with those 1K.

Good luck!

This should be good if you are playing TF2 on max settings and AAA games on very high. You can use an SSD as your boot drive for faster boot up but I left it out to leave you money for other things. Also use the Wraith cooler that comes with the 1500x because it's pretty good. Good luck!

Maybe a water cooler? Those will be able to OC (OverClock) your processor or keep your computer really quiet
