Do you think I was Unfairly Banned from a Trading Giant?

I am banned from a trading giant. Despite this, I pose no threat to the community and have done absolutely nothing wrong. Here is the reason that I am banned.

On November 19 2016, my brother ran from a spycrab on Harpoon Gaming. He was subsequently banned. I too was banned by Harpoon Gaming for being an alternate account of my brother's, probably because my brother and I are on the same IP-Address. Thankfully, after appealing the banI was unmarked. The site in question automatically bans anybody that is marked on Steamrep. As I was unmarked, I decided to appeal the ban. It was declined. This is what the assigned admin had to say.

The thing is, both accounts were marked on SteamRep and banned at the exact same time. My account couldn't search for my brother, or vice versa. This means that it was only possible for me to search for him whilst we were both unbanned, in which case there would be no need for me to search for him, not that I ever did. I don't exactly understand what the admis is trying to get at here.

The second argument is a little more rational, but in my opinion is still not a justified reason to ban me. Yes, my brother and I trade with each other. For example, he found a hat I wanted, so I bought it off him. This, however, does not mean that I am going to run from a spycrab. I cannot control what my brother does, and so I am not responsible for his actions. I was unaware that he ran from a spycrab. We are two separate entities. Even if I was aware of him running from a spycrab, is exchanging items with him going to help him run from more spycrabs? Again, I don't quite understand what he's getting at.

I'm extremely annoyed by this. As you can see, I literally did nothing, yet I am suffering the consequences of my brother's actions, even though I didn't help him commit the fraud. I am amazed a trading giant such as this site can be operated on such flawed logic. I'm not trying to name and shame, but I'd like your views on this.

EDIT: After 3 more appeals I was told by a different admin that my only chance of getting unbanned from the site is if my brother is unmarked on SteamRep, meaning that Harpoon Gaming, the site that banned both my brother and I, must unban my brother. Mind you, this is the same website that â€‹acknowledged my brother and I are separate and that I pose no threat to the community. How does it make any sense that whether my brother is unmarked or not controls whether I am banned from the trading website?! Not that I committed any fraud, but if my brother is unbanned am I less likely to do so?

It's not really worth starting a fuss over this, outpost is dead anyway.

What makes you think that Outpost is the site in question? ;)

As they want to be tough on scammers , even if it could hurt innocent peeps ( ye i know exact opposite of the belief that its better to have criminals out rather then punishing an innocent person ) Also trading websites take same ip = same user as 100 % proof , you got lucky with being unmarked.

Sounds like the issue is your brother. Make him pay the spycrab back to the person he ran from on Harpoon with proof to the Harpoon admins, and they will likely unban him.

You can either get your brother to pay back the items he ran with (presumably with interest), or opt to not use a dead website flooded with ads courtesy of ZAM corp.

From what I can see from the admins interest is that if you trade with a marked user, you're helping him transfer items away. He may be another individual, but you're so closely linked together and still trade with them that basically means you're the same account.

The admin is right, you admit to trading with your brother, so who knows if the items you are selling are not scammed by your brother before?

You act as functional alts and therefor I have no other option than to ban you from here as well.
