How can marketplace.tf's customer service be so terrible?

I made an order for 127 keys over 3 days ago and I'm still waiting for them to "verify" it. I've purchased keys from them numerous times in the past without issue, but this time it's taking far longer than I think it even should. I've made a support ticket, made a reddit thread, emailed geel, and even tried to add geel on steam. I've finally received a response from the support ticket, this generic message, " Creating multiple orders in the same day may result in future orders to be put on hold as well. You will get your keys when our site admin approves the order.", without any incite as to when they'll actually verify my order. How can it be possible that an order will take this long to verify? Also, am I wrong to say that their customer service should at least explain why it is taking so long, or at least when they estimate that they'll work on fixing my problem?

I too had recent issues with marketplace. After looking into it some more it turned out to be the credit / debit card system they used. So I tried again but through paypal. Worked without an issue

I used paypal for this order, although I used a prepaid debit card through paypal. Nevertheless, I wish I could find an employee to help me with this. There are a million scrap.tf employees, but almost no one who seemingly works for marketplace except geel.

It seems now that geel took the time to decline the friend request I sent and block me, really tier 1 customer service.

in his defense his profile says "I will decline your friend request unless I immediately recognize your name."

Perhaps try emailing him, as his profile suggests, or throwing down a comment on his profile.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble.. ive had a pretty pleasant marketplace.tf experience so far.

I feel like after three days you should have heard from someone, or finally been sent the keys. Sorry you are having such trouble with getting help.

 

Making this thread was good though. Geel is on these forums here and there so he'll likely see this and get someone on it, or just do it himself. Hopefully it all works out and this doesn't spoil your opinion of marketplace as a whole! :)

I normally have a good opinion of marketplace.tf, I've ordered from them numerous times in the past and I will most likely order from them again in the future, but nevertheless I am disappointed at this particular transaction. I ordered these keys to get a particular hat and I hate having to make the seller wait.

Sorry to hear bout all the waiting going on; however, as Flaimbot's mentioned, he does frequent these forums so perhaps he'll reply soon - good luck ^^

It is bad the slow speed he takes to reply to emails. A friend of mine waited 3 weeks. Also as for friending him, in his defense it did say "don't add me". Did he really block you, cause if he did thats just bad service.

I guess geel must've saw this thread. My order was just refunded without any reason why, honestly I'm beyond disappointed. Their customer service is on par with comcast customer service.

I made a new order with a verified card, hopefully they will actually verify the order now and send me the keys.

Next time just buy keys from someone for $1.9 paypal, saves ~$21.5, also 11 extra keys

I used to do that but was scammed often, even by "reputable" people.

Nope, promo code uncle and marketplace is actually selling you keys cheaper than those "reputable" buyers.
