How do Spectral Halloween Special unusuals effects sell?

How do these effects sell?

I rarely see them being traded around and nearly all of them have outdated prices. How much are these effects valued at in 2017? I see many of these effects being worth higher than burning flames for many unusuals.

Misty Skull is the least valuable, then Stormy 13th and Harvest, then Knifestorm, and then Secret.

Misty would rank high mid-tier, Stormy and Harvest high tier. Knifestorm can change from high to god tier depending on rarity. Secret is god tier, but will sell higher than Burning because it's rarity is obscene. All of them still sell for hefty prices, but take longer because of the niche market. A good place to make profit actually, buying from those who don't want to wait on them.

 Harvest < Knifestorm

Disagree here. Rest seems kinda okay.

From the unaddressed effects:

- Cloudy is probably around harvest (depending on the hat though), but harvest will have rarity in its advantage (cloudy is far more common). Would put that between harvest and knife/stormy 13th

- From the lower tier effects: Cauldron > lantern > eerie. All of them are significantly less than misty skull, which from the above addressed effects is likely significantly lower in value than the others.

All of them do not sell regularly because they are rare, both in absolute as in relative rarity, as they're old effects, and many of them have been lost in inactive backpacks and such. This is also why many of them are outdated. Their value/selling potential is mostly drawn from their rarity combined with their aestetical appeal. Burning and such are usually more popular, but far more common. This results in that in comparison, the halloween effects are often avoided by some traders, as it usually takes a while to sell them.

For those that like the effects (mainly harvest, secret and knifestorm, and to a slightly lesser extent cloudy), if you are willing to hold on to them for a while and are willing to take your time selling them, trading such hats can be very lucrative.

I don't have a bad experience selling these type of effects. It depends on the hat it's on. Usually the rarity matters quite a bit in it's price. Unusuals with these effects that only have 1 to 2 in existence are often not too bad to sell, if you have the patient of course.

Keep in mind that the lower tier Halloween effects are harder to sell. These effects include; Cauldron Bubbles, Flaming Lantern and Eerie Orbiting Fire. The other effects tend to sell better. However, occasionally there appear a few hats that are overpriced. This can be caused by a very outdated price or when it got sold to a collector and nobody else wants to pay that amount.

I think it's also important to add that dupes matter on these hats. Since the halloween effects are often worth a lot, so people are less interested in duped versions. Exceptions where due, for example when the effect is 1/1 in existence and it's duped, then it shouldn't matter a lot.

The most expensive and often desirable/selling effects are;

1. The best (overall)

It's A Secret To Everybody (definitely top) + Knife Storm + Harvest Moon

2. Better

Cloudy Moon

3. Good

Misty Skull + Stormy 13th Hour

4. Decent

Cauldron Bubbles + Flaming Lantern + Eerie Orbiting Fire
