DerangedDeadlyDisabledGuy
Okay so here is the situation, I was about to trade someone (lets call them barry) and I was asking a friend about the trade they said to not do it because 'barry' was marked on bp.tf. I asked why and my friend said that if you trade with a known scammer or something of the sorts you get banned on bp.tf. I was wondering if this was true, that if I was to trade 'barry' then I would get banned on bp.tf for trading with someone who is known to be a scammer. So anyway I was just wondering this just to be safe, here is an 'example' of someone like 'barry' that I was inquiring about https://steamcommunity.com/id/eksdeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Say if I was to trade with the 'example' would I get banned? Sorry if this was hard to follow, I'm new to forums and well yeah. If you could help it would be great. McBro
I believe Backpack will give you a temporary ban along with a warning. If done multiple times it will become a permanent ban. I'm not 100% sure on the specifics. For TF2Outpost however I do know. I'll quote ToughSox here: "You are responsible for your trading at all times. The fact that it is a buy order or not. If this type of tradin were overlooked, then people could (and WOULD) purposely trade with scammers this way. There are no exceptions as to how or why. Outpost bans for 1st time trading with scammers /scammer alts for 2 weeks. 2nd offense is permanent. And this is for those we feel were innocent trades. Should you knowingly trade with a scammer, then its a permanent on the 1st occasion. As far as are you allowed to use the site, thats a definite NO. Banned means exactly that, banned." -ToughSox (Outpost Admin)

Vittoo
If you trade with someone that is marked on bp.tf because of trading with scammers and is not a scammer himself you will not get banned or anything.

McBro
So if i was to trade steamcommunity.com/id/eksdeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee then I wouldn't get trade banned or what ever it is? You won't get trade banned, only Valve can do that. You will receive a ban from using the website however.
Woifi The Viking
Here is a link to our guide for background checks that also includes our ruling about it: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/29027-guide-for-background-checks/ If you trade knowingly with an user who is banned for scamming (or an alt of such user) you will be permanently banned from our site, as well as most other trading sites like outpost. If you trade with him not knowing that he was banned for scamming then you usually get 2 more chances.
