What does ``item on hold`` mean on marketplace.tf (im selling)

I`ve sold 2 items for marketplace.tf credit and i got payouts but my item was never put on ``item on hold``. I think there are some problems with the buyer or admins are busy. How long does it take i mean to get my credits delivered. I don`t think its a big problem but how long does it usually take to get them delivered. Just being curious sorry if this question is a ``stupied`` one

Well not all items are on hold, first time buyers or bigger purchases are usually put on hold tho and it might take some time. From my experience it can take up to half a day, depending on if there are problems with a credit card or whatever.

Items are put on hold until Geel or the Fraud Prevention guy of mp.tf can verify the seller.

It depends on the buyer, if they're trusted/verified etc. For the first purchase they usually charge 2 random amounts to a card, to verify you own the card. For big ticket items, I believe there is a different process as well.
