Update Community Classields Rule #3

Rule #3 of the classifield section of the community rules states: "Do not advertise raffles or Steam groups in your listings."

 

My suggestion is to update it to also include 3rd party websites such as youtube channels, tf2 gambling sites etc.

 

The classies are meant to be for trading not for advertising services

This has nothing to do with the forums. It has to do with the trading classies on the main site

Isn't TF2 gambling sites bad 

but the youtube part seems out of place tbh

I agree on youtube links and gambling sites, but not legitimate 3rd party trading sites (sfuminator.tf, stn'tf, dispenser.tf, etc.)

 

That's completely unnecessary and not fair. Backpack isn't a banking site and don't directly gain profit from classifieds, if scrap.tf banned mentions of these types of sites then that's fair, as it's direct competition. But these bot sites use their prices and don't cause any harm, unless it's with mass classified spam but that's a different story.

 

 

Completely agree on gambling sites and youtube links though, youtube is unnecessary and gambling sites are illegal, so that's all game.

I don't think anyone uses gambling sites anymore, but if they do advertise it, then the classified listing should I removed. I also agree with the youtube part, no need to advertise your channel when selling TF2 stuff.
