Oh no, now your items are properly valued... You didn't lose anything, this is what they are actually worth, don't be disgusted that an issue was fixed. It's not like you benefited from it anyway.

Kote is right. While it may be annoying to see your backpack value drop it was for a good reason. The old method used to value items with parts was flawed and didn't represent the item's true value. The price you saw were always wrong and too high.

The new prices you're seeing are the actual values.

Why do you even care this much? You lost quite literally nothing, only the tiny number only visible in your bp.tf profile is slightly smaller (and more accurate) now.

RIP Scrap.tf Strange Banking that paid you nothing for your parts , but counted some portion of it while selling.

why was this done you ask?  it's pretty clearly explained in the update post on the backpack.tf steam group

Today, we decided (based on community feedback), to change the multipliers for applied Strange Parts and paint to 10% and 20% respectively. You are likely to see a drop in "backpack value", however, worry not. This merely reflects your actual backpack value better than what it did before. It is simply very hard if not impossible to sell applied mods for 50% of the original item's value.

Additionally, mods will no longer add value to Unusuals. Almost no one gives more for an Unusual with a specific paint applied. If anything, it makes it slightly easier to sell (depending on the buyer's desires), but that should not be reflected in our suggested price.

mind you, I think 10% is kinda low, but it's better than the 50% thing

Agreed, it was very unlikely you would get 50% of the part on your strange.
