Is Risky Cash Trading dead?

So with Marketplace.tf opened up to everyone, ive been cashing out a few keys. I was initially apprehensive with doing normal cash trades, but Marketplace has been very smooth, safe, and surprisingly, at an insanely good price for the seller. From what I heard from friends was basically this price structure for normal cash trading - 1.65 to trade with a trusted buyer, 1.7-1.75 as the normal going price, and 1.8+ was usually where you got scammed. However, on marketplace.tf, you can get 1.85 without any risk of being scammed. I first thought this was just because of the limited number of allowed sellers that kept the price higher than normal, but the everyone can be a seller thing has been out a week, and the median selling point is still ~2.05, or 1.845 with the fee.

Of course for buyers, this seems pretty bad, as they have to pay 2.05 for every key, and that is much more than 1.7 or 1.75 or even 1.8 so if the buyer is willing to take the risk, they still can get a slightly better price, however with this new system its hard to imagine anyone would even sell any for even 1.8 when they can get 1.85 with no risk at all.

Is there something I'm missing or is this just the new world order of cash trading? Id love to hear others thoughts on this.

There was a sellerat $1.70 at some point on marketplace. I bought 72 of them.

well, the lower the price, the faster they sell. Maybe they needed cash fast.

Marketplace.tf is easy to use, full automated, and provides a full safety against chargeback attempts. Why would I buy keys from somebody for $1.85, fees on my side, while marketplace.tf offers them for $1.95 (no fees on top of $1.95) and 100% safe. If just people would lower their prices slightly (or fees would go down slightly) I think that marketplace.tf will be the future of cash trading. Which I personally don't mind at all because compared to the user friendly layout, safety and how fast you get the keys it's worth it.

Personally I don't think I'll ever be using marketplace, I prefer hands on cash trading and I have the rep necessary to demand my own price and be able to get it. There are people who feel the same way too. Marketplace is great for newer cash traders with no rep or understanding of how to navigate the market safely, but there will always be people trading keys for cash with risk.
