Explosion-chan
I was considering buying it because I'm a big Elder Scrolls fan, but when it first came out I heard it wasn't nearly as good as expected. I've recently heard more good stuff about it, so I was wondering if it's improved since then and if I should get it now.
steel-toed-sloth
I got it, played it once, and then never touched it again. Its not near as good as skyrim.
oli.t678
I can't say that ESO will fell similar to previous Elder Scrolls games, the tamriel unlimited update really made the game a lot better.

Findiculous
I was considering buying it because I'm a big Elder Scrolls fan, but when it first came out I heard it wasn't nearly as good as expected. I've recently heard more good stuff about it, so I was wondering if it's improved since then and if I should get it now. I have it. The story-line is pretty typical for and Elder Scrolls game but the final boss you get a Deus Ex Machina which is a kick in the balls and rather pathetic. Post game content will have your most likely quitting because its just same old same old. You can get through the main campaign and most of your first run in single player without grouping up. Group dungeons obvioudly you need to find people to play with. There is another land later game where you ave to play with a group and the same for the imperial city. Its not really like Skyrim or anything. Its more like WoW or LoL in terms of combat. A lot of button mashing and a limit to how much you can equip. The skill distribution system changes after a certain level too so instead of stats of health, stamina and magicka it changes to a skill tree which buffs things such as damage of a weapon by 1.x% and so on. When I got the game I completed through the main campaign in a week and a half. Not really played it as much since then. Not even picked it up in a month now. Pros - No paid subscription required Cons - Post game focuses heavily on "grouping up" in a different land, end boss gives you a deus ex machina, most of the quests are the same When you start the game you are given a "faction" which will stick your story across 3-4 lands on the world map. After finishing the main story you are given the option to go through a portal and basically pretend as if you joined a different faction which allows for you to go to another land. Only this land runs on a seperate server since the enemies are higher level etc so you wont see as many players anymore and the world looks kind of empty
