Different existences between Unusuals and Strange Unusuals?

It can be very hard to search for Strange Unusuals on bp.tf since its technically 2 merged categories.

 

Anyways, I laughed at A Delicious Cashewâ„¢ classified listing of his hat being 1/1.  But then I checked bp.tf and it is true.

 

He has a Orbiting Planets Texas Slim Dome.  However, I have the strange variant.  So, is his hat existence true or is bp.tf just bugged?

Nope, it showed up as 2 in existence 2 weeks ago, not sure what happened.

Yeah, strange unusuals are more valuable (if no strangifier exists or is extremely rare 30-50+ keys rare)

Afaik strangifiers don't work on unusuals, but don't quote me on that one. I've heard from a few people (namely Solid) that it adds a good 15-25% on top of the base price, depending on the unusual. I recommend using Outpost, here or trade servers, as backpack.tf is incapable of handling strange unusuals for some reason

However there are a large number of hats without Strangifiers and the only way to get Strange Unusual versions of those is to unbox them like that. But it does mean there is a bit of different between the price of Strange Unusuals with Strangifiers and ones without them.

I dunno, I unboxed a Strange Unusual GE War Pig during the holidays...I was only asking 400 keys, there's no strangifier for the War Pig and as far as I know there hasn't been another strange War Pig unboxed or if one has, it has not come to market. So an extra 40 keys for a strange over the non-strange bp.tf price that's over a year old shouldn't have been that much, but hell I haven't even gotten an offer of the non-strange value of 360 keys. :/

They are kinda niche. You just gotta wait for that person willing to give that extra value.
