Offering Keys For Simple Fix

Hey Guys,

I've gotten desperate with an issue I'm having in TF2 offline training. Whenever I attempt to play a payload map the game crashes unless I open a different map (control point king of the hill) first. Additionally the biggest issue is that my view models are unrecognizable in all offline game modes. Which is strange because when I play online in casual, competitive, or on community servers everything works perfectly. I'm beyond perplexed with this issue and I sent a report to steam customer service and-no surprise- one week later I got back a one sentence response that was copied and pasted from their FAQ. I'm willing to pay 5 Keys to anyone who can give me a solution to this problem.

Do you have any mods or huds installed? If you do try removing them and reverting everything back to default tf2 settings (including cfg file).  Also, your link doesn't seem to have any images yet :\

If all else fails, I guess the only true fix is to reinstall?

I haven't installed anything yet and I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice even verified local data but nothing :/ hmm the images aren't showing?

image link broken also have you ever messed around with any files or any console comands, of so return everything how it was and try to pinpoint the error.

My Solutions:

  • Try Verifying Integrity of game cache
  • Uninstall all modifications (Custom HUDs, Viewmodels, etc.)
  • Delete the file Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg\autoexec.cfg
  • Open the game - Go to Options - Click "Use Defaults" at the bottom-left part of the Options window.
  • Check for any virus/adware on your PC.
  • Do a Disk Cleanup
  • Defragment your Hard Disks
  • Repair your Registry
  • Uninstall unnecessary applications in your PC.
  • Delete Unused shortcuts
  • Delete useless empty folders
  • THE BIG ONE: Uninstall Steam & TF2 then Reinstall them
  • THE BIGGER ONE: Format your entire PC then open up your CPU then clean all parts inside.
  • THE BIGGEST ONE: Sell your entire TF2 Backpack then go buy a new gaming PC.

Let me know if any solutions above solved your problem  :)

P.S. I recommend using "Glary Utilities" for cleaning up your PC.
