How's trading these days? Have about $1k to put in

I was big into trading in 2015, made about 600 from a few steam cards and then got scammed like a dumbass and lost it all, which kind of made me lose my motivation. Looking to get back into it.

Methods that got me profit in the past:

-Upgrading unpriced unusuals

-Buying cs:go knives and getting stupid overpay

Are these still viable? Also wondering if this is enough money to build up some paypal rep and start making profit flipping keys.

Upgrading your unusuals rarely results in making profit, it's pretty much the other way around really. Cheaper unusuals sell way easier than expensive ones, unless it's really sought after ofcourse

Anything above 100 keys takes much more time to sell than it did in 2013, or even in 2015.

Go for low-mid tiers, forget the chance to get full pure, focus more on getting a decent overpay in unusuals or items, that are easier to resell than ur hat. Aussies are pretty much pure, earbuds- gone, bills hat- gone, max hat is kinda stable @ 19-20ish keys. No headcases, houwarss are something long forgotten as well.

Can't say much for unusual trading, but item trading is soooooooooo rewarding! {for me at least}  It's easier for me to make profit in item trading than unusuals so I'm gonna start quickbuying high tier cosmetics and resell them for items or maybe on the SCM.

Also, trade servers help a lot too, but apparently there isn't much "action as there used to be."

It helps a lot to have a Premium or 2 to track ALL of your sales, so you get your "bp value" inflated asap

Lol I don't care about my bp value i just want to make some bank

By upgrading i meant trading shit that is worth around 50 for something i can sell for 60-70, not adding things to my unusual for the sale.

Sometimes that works, but most of the time, people don't like unpriced (or new) stuff. It can work if you find the right person, but that requires time+work and/or luck.
