TF2 is alive and well

I'm kinda tired of the debate about tf2 vs other games and people hating on one versus another. There's been a lot of chatter lately about why certain things are the way they are and whatnot, but I've heard more than a couple ill-informed people spouting off about "tf2 is dying". Well stats don't really lie...

Basically the same number of players as 2013 . Pretty constant. Keep up the good work Valve. Keep the updates coming.

I rest my case :)

Imo still the best overall game on the market, and the only one I play on a regular basis.

PS - The new comic was quite enjoyable

While tf2 might not be dead, tf2 trading is pretty much dead or - as the traders Bob already mentioned like to call it - "very slow these days". Most people on here (again, Bob already said this: most of them are traders) refer to the economy when talking about a dying tf2.

Well TF2 as a game stood the test of time for me, and probably other around. But trading? Persoally, I have quit trading in TF2 because of the fear that soon every item may be worthless because of other's leaving.

All these items are worth something because there are people willing to pay for them. And these people are, well, leaving. Instead there is an influx of poor 14 yo who have nothing ot offer. And most of them will never have.

Can agree with everything you said but this:

And most of them will never have.

Because maybe they will have money to spend on games sooner or later, but I'm pretty sure that most of them will grow up and leave tf2 for csgo/OW or something like that and spend the money on those games. Since there's a serious aspect to tf2 (matchmaking, shitty meet your match update) it has no pubstomping charme, and there are only 8-12 year olds in the game anyways. These will, as I said above, probably leave tf2 when they grow up a bit for a more mature game.

Oh yes, let me explain. They will never be able to afford anything, but in TF2. By the time they would theorically have some buying power, they would have been simply gone. They would move onto CS:GO, where trading is serious. Lots of buyers, lots of money circulating, instead of staying in some poor TF2 game. If this game lasted another 10 years, maybe the situation would change eventually. Hell, maybe some big-time traders would grow from those who are new today.

But in my opinion - this will NOT happen at all.

Playing TF2? Yea, it's fun game. I like it. Trading? If You already aren't rich in TF2 - start is CS:GO. You won't build up in TF2. And even if You have money to invest, I'd still rather turn my head towards CS:GO.

TF2 isn't dead fortunately I love that game so much even after all these years. TF2 trading tho, is super dead, like WOW, i quicksold my last unusuals lately even at a huge discounted price it took more than a day !

Trading is the same for me. It has only gotten better as I have more unusuals to sell and I compete fiercely. 99% of the time I am the lowest seller and will undercut anyone who tries to undercut me. Also, I give people good deals.
