All the problems with backpack.tf that I could think of in a list

1. As far I as can see, there is no way to directly find the rules without adding them into a url.

2. Following up on this, there is no way for a new person to know that no-evidence suggestions aren't allowed, I'm even fowl of this.

3. Items with parts on then have fifty percent of the parts value added to them, personally it should either be hundred percent, or zero

4. Disregarding Backpack.tf Premium, It's pretty hard to find unusual sales, in turn it's hard to make suggestions for them

5. I have over a hundred eighty three messages archived, But I can't see no more than sixty, this can be fixed with a page-like feature.

6. If you look at the recent suggestions for any uncraftable item, there are none, you have to go to the craftable version to see them

7. Prices for items that don't exist,  any untradable item that still has a price, I even made a thread about this earlier, the same with halloween spells.

8. Mods flooding the classifieds, granted this is more of a personal issue, but still, Looking at you, Cashew.

9. There is only five homepage wallpapers, can get pretty repetitive

10. When is this going to get removed? https://gyazo.com/5f8d73d3098d027419aa2509bb1dd343

11. Blindvoting, Admittedly there is nothing that can be done about this, But I wouldn't be doing the title of this thread justice if I didn't include it.

12. There is no way to find killstreak kits for sale without going via backpacks.

13. Permanent bans, again this is more of an personal issue, but I think that permanent bans of any sort are ridiculous.

14. No way of knowing without checking the forums, when a rule changes/gets added, Backpack.tf has a steam group for god sake, use it.

15. Warnings for comments mean nothing

16. Personal issue, but some mods describe there reasoning for closing, because if suggestions get closed, without a reason how is someone mean't to learn from it? I mean when was the last time Puddilicious commented anything Again, personal issue, moving on.

17 *Edit* This thread, http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/57310-huh-wait-whut/#entry563321

Mods Discretion, this is a major issue, and deserves it's own point.

1. The 5% or 0.33 "rule" Not going to go into detail, just read this thread. http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/56722-the-5-or-033-rule-needs-a-change/

2. Waiting for young sellers/buyers to mature, While some mods won't care if a trade is young, they'll let them mature, while others will, Case in point, the uncraftable item suggestion train of December last year, most of the time the buyers were young, and no one batted an eye, other times a firestorm broke out over it, example (admittedly it doesn't include a mod, but it makes the point)

Well, this is all I could think of, If you have any more gripes or problems, please comment them here, Edit, I thought I should state this, no idea, why though, But all the "Personal Opinion" ones, take with a grain of salt.

1. Rules are at the bottom -

 5f897b9e3f.png

2. There is something so they can see when making suggestion -

6d74317cf2.png

3. Objection. Should stay like it is so people could see that it has a part attached. Also some are still paying extra for parts/paints, if you don't know it. And 100% wouldn't even make sense, because you could then buy a part/paint and make the same thing by yourself.

4. History -> Compare || Outpost.tf -> Offers at trade || Steam -> Directly ask. A plugin that would show the compare thing/trade just by clicking would be good if that's about what you were talking, but I don't know if it exists.

Also: Premium is premium. It's making stuff easier, that's why it's called "Premium" probably. Just deal with it.

8. You sure that you meant Mods and not bots? I mean - Mods are using bp.tf just like other people. Instead we could ban bots that are spamming the classifieds with one item, because they have it. It pisses me off when I see the same bot on the first page on one item. Automatic is fun, but damn - let the others sell their stuff too.

9. Isn't 5 enough? Or do you want a "My Own Wallpaper" thing?

12. http://backpack.tf/classifieds?item=Kit&page=1

13. Why that? A ban is a ban. User did something that everyone dislikes and is against rules so why not? He had his chance, didn't learn anything, gets perma banned and everything is fine.

14. This?

The rest isn't my thing.

Well Apart from 1, 2 and 8, I can't speak of, Because the main point is that is opinionated, and for one thanks, been looking for it for ages, and two, there is nothing stopping them releasing it, but fair enough, Eight, Cashew has flooded some items classified with quite a few times, he has sold most of them, again it's a personal issue, and for all others marked as personal issue, take them with a grain of salt.

1. I don't know what you meant by this, but websites use url's.

2. http://imgur.com/a/4AYkA Please.

3. Eh

4. what? Unusual suggestions aren't meant to be easy.

Also, Julia has made some scripts that help a lot.

https://github.com/juliarose?tab=repositories

Lastly, having premium makes it worse cause you have to look through every unusual that exists :P

5. Agreed, there should be pages.

6. Agreed.

7. I don't fully understand what you meant by that.

8. Did you hear that? Moderators aren't aloud to use the classifieds!

But in all seriousness, I think you meant bots.

9. Of all the things you were to complain about...

10. Ignore it like everyone else. It isn't important.

11. Honestly, if there's no solution to this then why'd you include it here?

12. Piterek addressed that already.

13. So you suggest we have to keep temporarily banning people forever?

14. The forums is like a town square on this site. I see no problem with this.

Latest news always helps as well. (Should probably be more active though)

15. They clean up irrelevant comments and end flamewars.

16. This seems more personal so I'm not bothering with it.

Also, he commented here on your own refined suggestion so it's safe to say the last time he commented was 19 days ago.

That discussion died for obvious reasons and my views have changed on it. Let's not bring this discussion back up please.

"1. The 5% or 0.33 "rule" Not going to go into detail, just read this thread. http://forums.backpa...needs-a-change/ "

My views have changed on this too mostly because of Foamy's comment but I agree with them and pretty much everything you said was countered.

I don't know what your definition of a "firestorm" is, but my reason for commenting that was because you knew what you're doing yet chose to do the wrong thing anyways. Having a bit of patience could have saved you from your "firestorm." Either way, I'm not going to comment on this any further because you've already been warned.

Only addressing the two that are my main responsibility, here. Bugs can't be fixed by the mods, you didn't mention any that aren't already on the devs to-do list. Suggestion issues have been discussed ad nauseam and others can respond if they want to but I won't do so here.

13. Permanent bans, again this is more of an personal issue, but I think that permanent bans of any sort are ridiculous.

People are only perm banned if they do something extremely serious (such as scamming), or break rules repeatedly. Most users have a great deal of chances before they reach that stage, but of course it ends up in a perm ban otherwise how would rules ever be enforced? Rule breaks require consequences, and if you continue ignoring the rules repeatedly after warnings and bans then you don't get to use the site. Seems perfectly fair to me.

15. Warnings for comments mean nothing

This is incorrect. They do two things; hide spam on suggestions, and more importantly; allow us to keep a record of past behaviour. When a comment is reported or I see someone being rude on a suggestion, I can go check their previous warned comments to see if it's a pattern of behaviour that may require further action such as a short ban.
