itstaytay Posted May 15, 2022 Share Posted May 15, 2022 can someone provide their thoughts on this series of events: originally i bought a cloudy moon headwarmer for 380 keys, it was essentially 1 of 1, others hadn't moved in years so price got accepted. then i traded the headwarmer 1:1 for a burning flames flamenco, again, since flamenco hadn't been seen on market in over a year the most recent trade got accepted, it also got priced at 380 key. then I traded the flamenco for a strange burning flames hat outta hell that wasn't priced at all since the hat is fairly new (non strage currently priced at 220 key) then i traded the hat outta hell for a anti freeze backwards ball cap 1:1 then i traded the backwards ball cap for a burning flames brigade help + 25 keys now what is the takeaway from all of this. if you look at the context of each trade you can see that each time i traded something for something i set a precedent, due to lack of previous sales in any recent time. in the end, what would be the correct updated price for my burning brigade helm? If all your sales were for items that have no other sales/cheaper listings, you could probably pull the 380 all the way to thre brigade and price that at 380-25 =355. Since the brigade has multiple sellers at as low as 255 and an active suggestion with multiple other valid sales https://backpack.tf/suggestion/65e462c591a47affc701d72b, the 355 will not stand. 190-260 would be the correct price in that case, your sale being an outlier. Even the 260 is already a stretch since sellers are below that tbh. Bruh I just necro posted hard here, soz.
