Tips Selling Unlisted Unusuals?

I recently traded for an unusual circling peace sign scout shako, which is currently unlisted; nobody will give offers. What do?

I think you mean unpriced.

 

For one I wouldnt go around saying it previously sold for 34 keys when there isnt actual evidence of that (the link you sent is from over a year ago)

If it were me looking at it, I would see you purchased it for ~20 keys and are wanting to sell for 30 whilst claiming it previously sold for 34 when you have no proof of that.

In my eyes I am now seeing that if I pay 30 then I lose 5 keys. If I pay in unusuals then I lose even more.

 

All you can do is sit and wait to see if it sells. Given time if it isnt selling for 30 then lower the price a little, alternatively you can offer it around on something you like.

Unpriced unusuals are usually harder to sell unless all class or rare sought after effects.

Trading is a waiting game at the end of the day. There are no real short cuts.

If you can find other sales for the hat it may be worth it to price it yourself on backpack.tf. That said, if you got a good deal on it its probably better to leave it unpriced, as people are normally willing to pay more for a hat with no set price than a hat with a low price based on what you paid for it (but it will take a while to sell)

 

Its kind of unfortunate that backpack.tf has put the economy in the position where people, for the most part, trade based on what this site says. It really stifles upward mobility in trading, because everyone's trading for the dollar value of their backpack, not for nicer hats.
