With the end of Ramadan comes the holiday that Muslims strive for - Eid. With the amount of controversy surrounding Muslims in the media, this holiday may be a significant mark on the way people view Muslims and the Muslim community. What do you theorize will happen during Eid to impact the Islamic community?

I do not support Trump at all, Muslim immigration in the US is not a problem, and likely will not become one. Muslims in the US tend to adapt to US culture, so I don't have much of a problem with them, just with the insane ideology they identify as.

Call me crazy but despite the recent negative media coverage on Muslims I don't think this year's Eid will do anything to influence people's opinions on Muslims, positively or negatively. Muslims will celebrate and have a good time while people with preconceived notions of them will continue to think what they want about Islamic people.

 

I don't claim to know much about Eid but I don't see it swaying anyone's opinions on Islam or generating any negative press either.

Ok I want to tell something:

 Immigration? Ok, but in the countries nearby( for certain where is it save, there they have to get good shelter/food/drinks), not in the EU . Because the cultures are not doing well together: There culture is that women are rang 2, men rang 1( + there are many other differences). That's not the culture of (West-)Europe. Also we have immigrants in Holland, Most of them are very happy to get shelter here (that's very good!), but there are groups who think they can apply there culture here, but that is the problem: They have to learn our language and our culture for example the culture of Holland(they visit our country to get safety right??!!). They don't do that, they apply there own rules for example: they think that woman are rang 2. Now there are supermarkets in our country where women can't work anymore till like 1 o'clock (Because the immigrants mostly men) don't want women at the cash desk(kassa), when there ARE women at the cash desk(kassa) they just steal and don't pay!!. There are immigrants in our country for only 1-4 weeks for example(they are just 4 weeks here, they will stay 5-10 years), what do they do? They say: We demand a mosque! Then most people here think: You are 1-4weeks here and you already demand a mosque? Also some people are afraid of their safety which I understand completely! Also sometimes there are Imams (Muslim leaders) who come to the Netherlands, they speak about hate to the Jews and people who are gay(and even Christians), and these meetings are visited very well, which I don't understand at all ...!

Don't get me wrong: I'm NOT against refugees, but imo they have to go to countries nearby, then we can pay money as the EU for these countries to give shelter/food/drinks, also they don't have to pass the sea anymore which is very dangerous!

I think that's really ignoring the reality though.  Yes, Kebabs are tasty.  You live in the Netherlands, right?  I grew up in Germany and lived there until I was 17.  This is my experience in how Germany 'expertly' handles refugees (most of whom are obviously Muslim): 

 

Step 1: Refugees arrive with nowhere to go.  Put them in 'asylum seeker homes' which are basically huge housing units where a family of 6 lives in a small one bedroom apartment.  Single women living in those 'homes' are afraid to leave their room for fear of being assaulted.  I lived quite close to one of these homes (it was literally on the other side of the tracks as the saying in English goes) - truly awful living conditions and it was easy to see nobody was happy.  Nobody has a job, everyone is bored, just sitting around, definitely not integrating.  

 

Step 2:  Finally, some of the refugees get jobs.  They're the jobs that we don't want (as you said), meaning they're complete shit jobs with low pay.  Sidenote: I've never met anybody who was happy to pick up rich people's garbage.  Have you?  Anyway.  Now that some of the refugees have jobs, they can move out of the home into a permanent living situation.  Of course, due to the fact that their job is shit and low paying, they move into areas which are essentially ghettos, full of immigrants.  I can tell you with certainty:  as a white German, you do not go to these neighborhoods.  You WILL get fucked with, it's just a matter of whether it's just verbal or escalates to physical violence. 

 

Step 3: Entire neighborhoods turn into ghettos.  It's the opposite of gentrification.  People in ghettos tend not to be happy of course, because everyone is poor, can't afford shit, sees other people driving around in BMWs, etc. 

 

Step 4:  Some of those disenfranchised people get radicalized.  I said some, not at all, but 'some' is enough to kill a lot of people as we've witnessed this Ramadan.  

 

This is the refugee reality as I witnessed it.  There is a difference between immigrants and refugees.  If you could afford it, you left Syria or Iraq a long time ago.  For example, 2/3 of refugees coming into Europe are illiterate in their own language.  Read that sentence again.  Yep, 2/3 can't even read or write Arabic, let alone German, French or English.  Immigrants however have to pass a system of checks (here In Canada it's a point system which makes sure that you have some level of education/skills/language, etc. basically enough to ensure that you can be a contributing member to society).  I have no issue with controlled immigration - Muslim, Hindu, whatever - but just opening the floodgates to whomever wants to come (as Germany for example has obviously done) is a breeding ground for disaster. 

 

Saying that all Muslims "are cool dudes" is just as insane as saying all Americans, Germans or French are cool dudes.  They're not.  There are assholes in every society or culture.  The difference of course is that assholes in other cultures do not take 30 people hostage, then release hostages on the basis of who can recite the Quran and kill the rest.  American assholes (perfect example being those very vocal Trump supporters) do not storm newspaper offices and shoot everyone because they made fun of Jesus or Trump.  There is one certain group on this planet who does shit like this, and it's Islamists.  Saying that this isn't a major cause for concern is just blindly ignoring one of the biggest threats we are currently facing.

That depends on what goes down during Eid.  This year's Ramadan has seen so much bloodshed and violence in the name of Jihad that i think it's pretty hard to argue that it did not affect opinion on Muslims negatively from a societal, cultural, religious and political perspective.

Ahh Hyperqube....shall we dance?  I get that you're arguing that there hasn't been a 100% increase.  But any increase is bad when it comes to rape, isn't it?  

 

In Canada, you basically have a zero percent chance of getting in as an immigrant single male, we strongly place preference on families.  Exceptions will be made based on level of education/language skills/prior experience living in Canada for example via university education, etc.  However, if you're just some average single guy, you're not getting in.  Part of the reason is of course as you listed above.  Who commits most rapes?  Single men (that's not say married men don't rape, but at least as a married man you have a sexual partner at home).   

 

Quite frankly, a 0.1% increase is too much.  If you see an increase in rape at all, it means you let in the wrong person.  We don't have that same increase in sex crimes here in Canada, most likely precisely because we didn't let in a bunch of single guys in the age of range of 16-40 who think that every woman who doesn't cover herself is a slut.

It's pretty difficult to argue that most of those would've happened if Germany didn't just throw the doors wide open.  Put yourself in the position of a father to a daughter.  How would you feel if someone told you: "So, we're going to let in a bunch of people, a lot of them will be single men and we can expect to see a "slight" increase in rape crimes."  I know if it was me, I'd say, "Great, send everyone back, even a 0.1 percent increased (let alone 4.5%) chance that my daughter's safety will be compromised is too much."

 

The 4.5% (and I haven't checked that number) increase, rather any increase in rape crimes is a serious argument against this open door policy.

Couldn't find sources of their information, but if it was true (which I doubt, as I've seen other sites citing government websites with different stats) it doesn't really matter. But Hypercube my darling, that is exactly what I'm arguing (sadly, as I'm sure you will conclude).  As I explained, the restraints surrounding immigration are much tighter here.  Other examples include Iceland, Norway or Australia where it's very difficult to get in (and in some of these cases pretty much impossible [iceland]).   I will reiterate: if you are a single male (most likely group to commit rape) without any remarkable skillset, you're not getting in, no discussion.  So I guess you could call that "Twenty Times Better" (whatever that actually means;  much more accurate would have been 20x less likely to commit sexual crimes).  It is no big surprise then that we haven't had a regrettable surge in sexual crimes.  Also, we don't have nearly the same amount of ethnic and racial discrimination against minorities as can be seen in Europe these days.  I believe this is due to the fact that we don't have groups of young men roaming the streets on New Year's Eve with the goal of groping women who walk around in immodest clothing.  

 

And I absolutely maintain my original stance:  any increase in sex crimes is bad, and to label it as "expected' in accordance with how many new people arrived is simply a sign of piss-poor policies. 

 

Why shouldn't we place extremely high standards on immigrants?  We have enough assholes at home that we're busy dealing with, we don't need an extra influx.  Now remember, I'm not against immigration, but I am absolutely against this open door policy currently practiced in much of the EU.

As I explained, the restraints surrounding immigration are much tighter here.  Other examples include Iceland, Norway or Australia where it's very difficult to get in (and in some of these cases pretty much impossible [iceland]).

These temporary slaughterhouses are normally controlled by veterinary services. In fact, these temporary slaughterhouses proceed without stunning the animal. Animals are killed with full consciousness as asked by the Coran (Qran). A blue tongue fever epidemic is latent every year due to the permissiveness of the french authorities. Other risks are latent with the Eid.

 

French laws ask for minimum requirements such as : classified installation with strict standards, special facilities (hard floors and smooth walls which are easy to clean and disinfect, regulated movement, facilities to evacuate and treat animal waste (such as blood, washwater, skins, viscera...), equipment (cold room for storage, spinal cord extractor, very strict procedures. Regulations asks that carcass must leave at 7° at heart (which requires 24h of refrigeration so as to prevent sanitary problems). Muslim community is growing fast in France, due to immigration, high reproductive rate. French politicians don't want to "offend" muslims and tolerate a lot from the muslim community (for electoral issues). It exacerbates the tensions between muslim and non-muslim people. In reality, muslims consider their culture and religion superiors to any other. They don't conform to traditions in France, European countries and other countries in the world.

 

On the same topic but on a different level. Muslim and jewish people slaughter their animals differently, it is called ritual slaughter. In France, it has been years now that they have a derogation. A lot of meat that comes from french slaughterhouses don't respect basic regulations so as to ensure hygiene and animal welfare. Some will argue that if the animal is stunned, blood may remain inside the carcass (which is forbidden to eat). Others will argue that the animal has to be conscious when the name of Allah is pronounced. A vast majority of muslims will find a way to justify it. Another great part of muslims don't mind. A minority of muslims who disagree doesn't do much.

 

During the Eid, it is very common to see muslims, themselves, kill the animal with full-consciousness. And that's practical, not theoretical. Maybe you better know what a muslim should believe, should do or shouldn't do, but it is not the point here.
