I'm running for Vice President at my high school, and I need some speech ideas. I'm not looking for you to write a speech, I'm not looking to copy a speech, I want some ideas on how to approach the speech, using humor, etc. I've already decided to not go plain and straightforward: why should you elect me etc., because I think of that as boring, and people will tune out. It's an election, not a stand up comedy show. If you want to get elected, people need to vote on you. tell them why they should vote on you. That's the whole point of an election speech. Now yes, you should keep the speech somewhat entertaining but the foundation of it should be your political merit. That's what you get elected for after all. On a side note, what the fuck does a vice president of a high school do? I'm assuming you're a student there, so it isn't a management function. So what is it? And what does the actual president do?
