Ok, this is a tough one.

Cloudy Moon Company Man, outdated by 6 months at 200 keys. 1 of 5 in the world!

These are the only sales i found:

#1 http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198072386437#!/compare/1487808000/1487894400

Sold on scm for 295.10 euros. Took TheLaj 1 month to sell, before FAKE.Psycho bought it.

#2 http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198289040457#!/compare/1488153600/1488240000

Clean Cloudy Moon Company Man (240 keys) + 40 keys pure for a Clean Tesla Coil Hong Kong Cone (280 keys).

240 + 40 = 280

Talked with Adding for your max, he said that SunjarZ will pay the rest 26 keys pure later, since he didnt have the keys at that moment, i will provide a screenshot of that when the time comes and i make an suggestion.

Ok so, im not sure how to calculate the scm sale, if i remember correctly there was an trick to it (what the buyer paid and what the seller received). Either way the scm sale seems way too low, compared to the 280 sale, but i cant really call it an quicksell either, since it took TheLaj 1 month to sell it, then again its scm and you cant list anything higher than 360 euros. By the outdated price, Cloudy Moon Company Man would be about 464 euros, which makes me think TheLaj originally listed it at about 295 euros for quicksell purposes.

Let me know what you think i should do and if i can even make an suggestion, i feel like i might have to wait for a 3rd sale to happen or something like that, so i can determine the oulier.

One extra question. Can i only use the most recent sale from this history (which is the sale #2) or can i take older sales from it too, to determine the outlier? http://backpack.tf/item/1201438464

snip

Honestly I wouldnt use that HKC to reprice anything unless it has proven to be stable. Id actually use the cman for the cone.

http://backpack.tf/suggestion/58b6d26fe338773da8307a01suggestion up on it atm that seems to have more sales.

You can use anything within a 3-month timeframe to help you determine outliers. For hats that sell very commonly (~10 or more in the past 2 months) its best to stick with sales from the past 2 months instead. Ill make a comment on the open suggestion

Got a new sale at around 1000 keys on the Amaranthine Polar Pullover. It has an updated price at 400-460. There were 4 sales that determined that range, so this 1000 sale would be an outlier?

1000 sale: https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198162120088#!/compare/1490140800/1490227200

Yes, it's an outlier. Every single sale between those two users is way higher than sales made between other users. Applies to the darkblaze warpig, the unusual scattergun, and a bunch of other unusuals.

The b/o was 800 and he was paid 1000+ when the last 4 sales were all under 500. Outlier for sure.

Furthermore, the sale has been reverted, so there is no sale at 800 or 1000 or whatever it'd be valued at. I've discussed the matter thoroughly with the seller, who in the end claimed he was arguing for the sake of argument

http://imgur.com/a/9D6h3(followorder from bottom to top) mainly the bottom one (First chronological) explains how I would treat such cases

If there are no clear indications that either sale would be an outlier, a large range can work

Final Price: ?

Eh I'd wait for more sales there. 40 may end up being high if 31 remains unsold for much longer, but if it sells relatively quickly it may need a range. 26 sold really fast so Im not too enthusiastic about 26 flat

I have a question on price. On Backpage her no, and then I found a topic where prompt price. Help RV

Item- http://backpack.tf/premium/search?item=Trencher%27s%20Topper&quality=5&tradable=1&craftable=1&australium=-1&particle=30&killstreak_tier=0

Sorry for the late reply. It seems like there are no recent sales other than potentially your own sale. If you want to have it priced, you'll need sales.

If you want to know how much to sell it for/ask for it, I would guesstimate it to be somewhere between 13 and 15, depending on how patient you want to be selling it. I'd probably list it at something like that and see what offers I get

I have 2 questions

1)Can I use this person's sales for proof?

https://rep.tf/76561198196627443

He's banned in TF2 outpost for being a steam wallet scammer, but he's not banned in SteamRep

2) I want to price an expensive non-unusual item using SCM sales, but there's 3 sales in the last 3 months, the latest one is 6 weeks old and the other ones are more than 2 months old

The sales are at :

~40 keys(between 2 and 3 months old)

~60 keys(between 2 and 3 months old)

~90 keys(less than 2 months old)

Should I use only the latest sale or should I make a range?

Hello, I am doing a suggestion for the Smoking Headsplitter. I have a few problems.

First sale

http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561197964171516#!/compare/1492646400/1492732800

http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198344933095#!/compare/1492646400/1492732800

I have no clue what happened here.

Second sale

http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198117597416#!/compare/1489622400/1489708800

He sold it for a Spectral Swirl Deep Fried Desire.

http://backpack.tf/item/4695304131

The issue here is

1. Do I need a mini for the taunt? And if no, do I use the median price range?

2. It looks like he ended up selling the taunt back to the same bot that he bought it from. Can I use what he sold the taunt for as a mini or should I use something else(if I need a mini at all)?

3. There are several sellers for that taunt at 20 keys. Can an unsold be used as a mini?

Thanks!

Sorry for the slow responses. Most questions have moved to Discord, so I haven't checked this in a while.

Im probably too late here as the splitter is now updated, but for future reference:
- The taunt was outdated when you asked, so you would indeed have needed a mini. In the current situation, the sale would have been an outlier. For suggestions, you use the median value of in-date hats
- If he sold it back to the same bot, it is likely that he reverted the trade or resold it back for much less than he paid for it; usually those sales are not really usable.
- Sellers can be used as a mini, but sales are very much preferred. Sellers are often still too high, and in some other cases, sales may be higher than sellers. Young sellers should not be used as sole proof for a mini unless there's absolutely nothing else.

You can use his trades. Backpack.tf is aware of his outpost ban reason, but has decided it was not banworthy.
For non-unusuals, it really depends on what this is. Based on the numbers I see here I presume it is an expensive strange weapon skin. If sales are that far apart, I would not suggest a price for it, personally. 90 would then be the most recent sale, but also the one that would be labeled the outlier based on its deviation from the mean
