What are your thoughts on it?

What scenes did you like? What did they do right/wrong?

And if anyone who is still reading hasn't seen it yet: stop reading now. Go pay $10 to watch it. Seriously. It's worth

I work at a theater going to work throughout winter break. Star Wars is definitely gonna be the busiest time of the year. help.

Seriously, spoilers below. Don't look if you haven't seen. Just a last warning

I went to see it today in the cinema because of this last-workday-before-christmast-so-we-have-to-do-something-special, so we went to Star Wars and to be honest I didn't really like the movie but it wasn't as bad as I had expected. But this is probably because I haven't seen any other Star Wars movie ever. (I had a great childhood dont ask). I didn't really got the point of the plot and some things were a little bit vague for me. I also didn't like discount Darth Vader, pretty much because he was wining all the time and then killed that Han Solo dude so that we remember he's the bad guy again.

But it seems to be very popular though, it's just not my taste of movies.

I enjoyed the new graphics, and how it seemed more real. I think it was basically a repeat of 5, with the death star and destroying by going and shooting 1 access hole. I did enjoy it, just a note. I am sad Han SOlo died

Honestly I have a theory for why he was portrayed like this, and if I'm right JJ is actually pulling off an interesting twist from what everyone is saying is a "rip-off Episode IV". I think that JJ is pulling a "reverse Luke", and we're going to watch Kylo become more and more evil through the next two. Think about it, in Episode IV Luke was unsure of his powers and a whiny brat (Looking at you power converters). Likewise, Kylo is unsure of his power (Cue his insecurity compared to Vader), and is also a whiny brat. I think that Kylo killing Han was supposed to parallel Luke's destruction of the Death Star- a crucial moment that truly decides their path. I think this idea of watching the bad get worse is a really interesting idea, if that's what JJ is going for (and I hope so)

was one of the best movies I've seen in my life.

Also Rey is seriously the sexiest woman on this Earth.

It didn't seem like a repeat? I mean I know it had a plot of it's own, but it seemed like it copied Episode 5... Big station with 1 hole to shoot at and explode

Star wars is Star Wars copy because it haves lightsabers like Star Wars.

Wat.

But I get your point, and from a real ''hardcore mlg'' Star Wars fan, I can say it's a pretty good movie. It takes you back to the first SW movie, a lot of action, shooting, love, the plot for the destruction of the new planet was like a mix from all 3 original films. So that's actually a good point, Star Wars being Star Wars again, also you have to think, that a lot of people will see this movie, and it will be they first SW movie so it haves to be kind of vague and similar to older ones.

The plot is nice, the scenes, effects where amazing(Watched it on 3D), and it was tense and light, at the same time.

I would give it a 9/10 in the Star Wars universe.

My only downside to this movie is that...at some points lacks some dialogue, really, more dialogue in a SW movie. But that's fine, I'm sure the next one will have a lot more of that since it involves Luke.

You mean IV right, because there's no Death Star in V. Also see my above post for why it may seem like its mirroring

My general thought was "We had to sacrifice the EU for this?"

If this were judged in a vacuum, it'd be a pretty good Star Wars movie, but when I hold it up to the expanded universe stories that were erased for it, it doesn't hold a candle to them.

I did enjoy the comedic moments. Sometimes you could tell they were stretching it by just a bit

And other points were obviously not going to happen. Like we knew R2D2 was gonna come back in the movie and that Poe didn't die immediately

They also revealed Kylo as Han's son just so anticlimactically. And I didn't like how whiny he was, or how he looked. His line to Rei about teaching her the ways of the dark side was too rushed. Bad cast imo

I liked a lot of everything else though. The use of the old cast members and characters, implementation of new ones, allusions or even direct quotes from the old movie and the correlation between the others
