Looking for some nice games to try out

Been becoming quite bored with TF2 and CSGO lately, I think I need a break, and with good timing with the Steam sales. I'd prefer to spend $15 at most, hopefully picking up multiple games.

Games I already own:

  • tf2
  • csgo
  • Garry's
  • Fallout3NV
  • SFM

I'm interested in open world games, also racing and adventure games. I'm also keen on a storyline/quest game that isn't Fallout, but I haven't found very many. I'd just like a fun game that I can spend some time on.

Thanks

EDIT: Also forgot, I've been trying to find a good campaign mode shooter

Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.

Once you get around the character models it's such a good game, Skyrim is also really good too if a bit easier to get into.

Make sure you mod them for added fun.

Shadow of Mordor is at a discount at $15, its actually a pretty great game and has unique aspects in it.

But yeah Skyrim legendary edition is like $7.50 and you would really spend more time on skyrim than you would on shadow of mordor.

I searched around, still sort of confused as to what Skyrim actually is lol. So it's basically an RPG, correct? Is it like Fallout, where it's open worlds, and you just keep doing quests until you level up and reach the end of the story?

I mean the way you put it can be said about fallout too. Doing quests until you level up and reach the end..

You can explore dungeons and discovering tombs, explore mountains with dragons. It has a big skill tree with branches that you can fit however you like.

Skyrim has a larger world than fallout 4, but its way more empty, however it fits the atmosphere.

That and it has a buttload of mods that are worth buying the game just for that.

If you like a swords and magic version of fallout, then you would like Skyrim.

Hmm, definitely sounds interesting, I'll for sure consider it. Thanks

If you are even slightly into RTS games, Age of Empires 2 HD is the granddaddy of all of them. It's usually on a steep sale around this time, if you can pick it up cheap it's worth trying out.

For the $15-20-ish range, I'd suggest this set:

Borderlands 2: GotY (Bioshock Triple Pack instead if you want a good shooter that's more single-player)

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Skyrim: Legendary Edition

Civilization III Complete

Otherwise, if you're just looking to bolster your collection, I suggest Humble Bundles. Each bundle has a bunch of games and you pay what you want (minimum $1 for steam keys).

Borderlands 2 goty (100% if you can only buy one and it will be the best run for your money especially with a friend)

Hotline Miami first one)

Undertale

Saints row 3 if you are into a crazy gta (but not a polished)

Left for dead 2 (this one is great)

Bioshock tbh I played the third bioshock before the first and second so just try one of them out and go for it. Although I don't recommend u playing them in rapid succession

Rats intsagib 2.0 (just bought this)
