I use GPSPhone for the iPad, for running GBA games. I play all of my pokemon rom hacks on it, it runs fast and never crashes. I know you're probably looking for computer emulators, but I thought I'd share this in case you were curious.

Heck yeah, here are a few of my favorites.

Dark dising. Really hard game, your final battle is like... It's basically impossible :D

Light platinum. It's got 16 gyms, two pokemon leagues, tons of new HMs and pokemon from many generations, new map, it's really cool.

Pokemon fuligin. Cool game, I remember really enjoying it, it's a good one.

Pokemon ashgray. You play as ash basically, do the things he did on his journey in kanto. I think there's a sequel for orange islands.

The ruby destinies series. I think there are three games in this series, they're all pretty cool.

These are off the top of my head, I can't think of any more right now, but if I'm on my iPad later I'll throw you the names of all the games I beat (upwards of 20

ZSNES for the Super Nintendo and DeSmuME for the DS. Saying that, you'll find elitists reccomend you only use RetroArch which covers multiple systems with interchangable cores.

I reccomend you play Super Bomberman 2 on the SNES and then the Castlevania series on the ds.

It's a series that's a cross between an RTS and a traditional JRPG. You'll form up one or more parties consisting of standard RPG archetypes, and move them around a map against opposing teams and enemy forts/villages. As they win battles, they'll level up and can reclass. The game even has a morality system which will affect the story and what units you can reclass into.
