As title stated, you have the entire classified listing on some item's page to have mostly users who are offline -_-
For example,  http://backpack.tf/stats/Unique/Mann%20Co.%20Supply%20Crate%20Key/Tradable/Craftable

By showing online users only, one would save effort to not have to click expand to search for trades where they can trade immediately, people who are online can sell their things first. Also, there would be lesser undercut for that matter

Not to mention admins can easily check if those online users are refusing to sell their items, and there would probably be lesser reports for "This user is refusing to sell his item at the listed price" regarding those "last bumped 3 days ago" most appropriate priced classified listing on the main page

Autobump doesn't make your listing appear first when your listing isn't the lowest, the offline users' classified listing with the best price would appear first. With this change, autobump users can have their listing constantly up if they are online and have one of the lowest price.

For example, as you can see here rASX7RK.jpg, there's 5 classified listing in sell orders with offline users. This is what i meant, i think you are talking about a different issue.

Then whats the point of getting autobump

You'd autobump to the top of online users still.

I'd like it if this was an option that you could toggle on/off, as I hate sending offers and waiting 3 days for someone to get back to me with "sorry sold to someone else"

You have to refesh backpack to even get the trades to autobump.. And if you don't have autobumping, then you have to manuelly do it. Hopefully, you'll be online if you're doing it yourself.

Yea, you should be able to toggle on/off by pressing the expand button to see the full listing.

Another example of the problem in the old format, every seller is offline, had to search through 2 pages at least to get a seller that is online to trade

I should point out that being online on backpack.tf and being online on Steam are two entirely different things. Being online on backpack.tf means you've visited any backpack.tf page (excluding forums) recently, so someone that is not online on backpack.tf may in fact actually be available to trade since they're online on Steam but haven't opened a backpack.tf page in a while.

However, I do understand where you are coming from this suggestion. Maybe Fiskie/Brad could implement the sorting options within the stats pages of items.

Though what i feel is that, if the people are not using bptf, other traders who are using should get priority to trade. It's like trading sites such as bazaar and outpost where if you aren't online on them, you won't have the autobump function even if you are a premium user/donator .

It would make it more fair to people who are actively on the site to contribute to its traffic

Bazaar.tf uses the same auto-bump as backpack.tf does (Auto-bumps on page visit), but TF2Outpost actually DOES auto-bump your trades even when you're not online.

that's really unfair for outpost lol, but yea the effectiveness of autobump isn't very useful when people of the lowest classified listings are all offline

Would Automatic users be considered online if a user is offline with the exception of running automatic while afk?

Can be considered, i only put up this suggestion to solve the issue of people who are actually offline and yet still top the classified. however, then again, it's not that hard to keep a tab with backpack.tf opened...

better idea: add a function to sort by online people

that way you can't piss off anyone who doesn't like your idea, and everyone else can just toggle it
