Дебра
Do you think e-sports are a valid sport like baseball, football etc? Also do you think the rewards for e-sport tournaments have gone too far, with stuff like TI in Dota having multi million prize pools?
Tanner the Original Scout™
No because you're staring at a fucking 22" screen for an unacceptable amount of time moving a mouse and pressing a maximum of 7 keys.

dabaers
Its not a sport, same with chess. They are games. Should people play them and earn money? Sure. Should they be called a sport? No. They're organised games that require no physical exertion.

SirSkelly
While it's only your opinion, but Chess is considered a world-wide sport. Because chess has been around for ages, e-sports is quite new. If it sticks around for a few centuries, then it will be accepted, but other than that no.

Zcrab
Well why wouldn't it? Dart throwing is considered a sport, it requires as much physical activity as playing on a PC. Car Racing is a sport too, while it requires you to be fit and not weight too much, that's not what the sport is about, what it's about doesn't require more physical effort than gaming. It's not only chess which you can compare with gaming, alot of games/activities are considered sports while they don't require more physical activity. Sport isn't all about physical abilities. You don't need to be a buffed guy to do car racing. Matter of fact, one car racer is in a wheel chair. Zcrab
In my opinion, any contest that doesn't involve alot of coincidence (like card games) or subjective judging (like guitar playing contest) can be considered a sport.
