I have been hijacked on 10 Feb and yesterday Steam support gaved me this message:

Hello Rapan,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

We apologize for the delay.

In order to investigate this issue, we must verify your ownership of the software and associated Steam Account(s).

If you purchased software through Steam with a credit card, please reply to this message with the card type (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), full name, and last four digits of the card used with the order(s).

If you purchased software through Steam through PayPal, please provide the PayPal account holder billing information (name and address) and the PayPal Invoice ID. The Invoice ID will be 16-18 digits long and comprised of only numbers. It may be listed as the Order Description Number.

If you registered software purchased at a retail location, please handwrite your Support Ticket Number 6144-WRHJ-1352 directly on the quick reference card or sticker above the CD Key (the number should not be written on a separate piece of paper or inserted with an image editor) and reply with a digital photo or scan of the CD Key in .jpg format. Please ensure that you submit a full-color image, rather than a photocopy.

If you have any difficulty locating the CD Key on the packaging, please see the following link:

URL: http://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601

Example scans:

After verifying your proof of ownership we will gladly assist you with this issue.

1.I have not use any visa, mastercard, discover, american express to add money to steam, only PaySafeCard

2.I have not linked my Paypal

3.I have not bought any games from the retailer store in real life to have a cd key in my hand.

I am pretty desperate right now, how can i prove i am the owner of my account....:/

Have you ever add a Humble Bundle game or any other games from those type of sites (IndieGala etc) to your account?

If so, you will be able to locate the game key from your email.

If you've used those cards, say so and give the PINs of the cards that you've used. If you've thrown them out, check to see if the pertinent information is still on your paysafe account.

Otherwise, try giving dates on which you purchased items or added wallet funds.

Hello Roller,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

In the future, please do not open multiple tickets for the same issue.

It appears as though the account may have been hijacked by another user. Please follow the link below and take the prescribed steps to ensure the security of the account in the future:

TITLE: Account Security Recommendations
URL: http://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1266-OAFV-8478

I have reset the account password and sent the new login information in a separate e-mail. If you do not receive the e-mail and you are running a Spam filter, check and make sure the e-mail is not being filtered as spam.

Note: Passwords are all numbers.

The new Secret Question will be set to "What did customer service reset your password to?"

The answer to the Secret Question is the new password that we have sent to you as mentioned above.

Once you login to the Steam Account, please change your password, secret question and validate your email address as outlined here:

Title: Resetting an Account Password and Secret Question

To safeguard your account further, please take advantage of Steam Guard:

Title: Steam Guard
Link: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4020-ALZM-5519

Steam Guard is an additional level of security that can be applied to your Steam account. With Steam Guard, a second level of security is applied to your account, making it harder for your Steam account to fall into the wrong hands.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

That's what happened to me in 2013, but I managed to claim my account back

What they're looking for is proof that the person making the ticket is the true owner of the account, and credit card statements are one of the best ways as it makes a huge barrier for those trying to socially engineer their way into another person's account.

If you already wrote down those cd keys before they posted that msg, chances are that they missed it. As most of the messages that they send out are auto-generated, it's worth a shot to post those cd keys once again.

I once told them that I changed my password already, and yet they replied asking me to change my password.
