Hazza
So, as the title says, I have a plan. To be honest, it's more a goal, but oh well. I've dubbed it "The Radically Ranged Rainbow Rucksack" project.(thanks to TheTruth for the new name idea) Basically, it's just trying to make my Backpack more colourful and/or valuable by buying many item qualities, such as Genuine, Vintage etc. So here's the plan: EDIT: I'll be updating this as I go along. Scout: Total Cost: 5 keys 38 ref 9 scrap Festive Scattergun Genuine Flying Guillotine (Done) Vintage Sandman (Done) Soldier: Festive Rocket Launcher (Done) Vintage Gunboats (Done) Strange Escape Plan Pyro: Strange Degreaser Festive Flare Gun (Done) Strange Powerjack Demo: Strange Loch-N-Load Festive Charge N' Targe (Done) Vintage Caber Heavy: Festive Minigun Festive Sandvich (Done) Vintage Killing Gloves Of Boxing Engineer: Genuine Widowmaker Festive Wrangler (Done) Vintage Gunslinger Medic: Festive Crusader's Crossbow (Done) Vintage Kritzkrieg Festive Ubersaw (Done) Sniper: Genuine AWPer HAnd Festive Jarate (Done) Strange Bushwacka Spy: Genuine Diamondback Festive Sapper (Done) Black Rose Vintage Dead Ringer (Done) So what do you guys think? It's the first major idea I've had to do with my backpack, and it's not particularly expensive.
A n d y
Instead of a Black Rose, why not a Botkiller Knife.
TheTruth
Call it the "Radically Ranged Rainbow Rucksack" *rucksack = type of backpack Throw in some cheap specialised killstreak stuff, a cheap collector's, a low-tier unusual for your fav class, why not? Scott Bakula
I've done the same, where I try to have my items in qualities that aren't the standard unique. In any case though, I do feel that the first goal of a backpack shouldn't be value, but just trying to get one of each weapon, not counting reskins. That way, a player is able to frequently able to tweak and experiment to find loadouts that work well for them or can adapt to situations on the fly. ☾Link✞Skorpion☽
Simply because of this, I am going to try to collect a Strange of every weapon possible (Including reskins). And Hats?Nah, I'll save hats for after I get all the weps. Edit: I might as well count all Aussies and Botkillers. And Festives.
Hazza
Instead of a Black Rose, why not a Botkiller Knife. I can't stand the look of Botkillers, whicever variant it is. They're just so ugly. On the other hand, the Black Rose is simply beautiful. Call it the "Radically Ranged Rainbow Rucksack" *rucksack = type of backpack Throw in some cheap specialised killstreak stuff, a cheap collector's, a low-tier unusual for your fav class, why not? Thanks for the name suggestion, I'll change it after this reply . Also, you mention Collector's, I was thinking of a Collector's Loch-N-Load, but I decided there was no point in wasting an extra 2.5 keys (roughly) for a quality slightly better than Strange. Besides, I like the feeling of ranking up with Stranges. 0/10 It was not a plan to kill everyone you meet. Inb4 random Meet The Sniper quotes. This is actually a good idea ^.^ Thanks man, appreciate it. I've had a loose idea of this brewing in my mind for a while, and when I started obtaining the Festives I decided to actually start it. Again, thanks I've done the same, where I try to have my items in qualities that aren't the standard unique. In any case though, I do feel that the first goal of a backpack shouldn't be value, but just trying to get one of each weapon, not counting reskins. That way, a player is able to frequently able to tweak and experiment to find loadouts that work well for them or can adapt to situations on the fly. I agree with you, however, I'm one of those people who does stick to one or two loadouts and stay with them for ages. For example, my main Demo loadout is listed there (but unique at the moment), but I also have the Loose Cannon, Tide Turner, Claidheamh Mòr and the Sticky Jumper for when I decide to go Demoknight or mess around. Hazza
Well damn... I'm really annoyed at the moment. So, 2 minutes ago, I added £30 to my Steam Wallet, and was ready to buy all the items here (that I don't already have). I go to buy a Festive Scattergun, and on clicking Purchase, I'm met with this lovely message: You've recently funded your Steam Wallet using an unverified credit card that has had a recent increase in use. You can attempt to verify the funds now or wait until the restriction is automatically removed. Now, this makes sense, as I remove my credit card info immediately after I add funds, a habit, mainly because I don't want people buying stuff on my account (yeah, I'm way too cautious). So sadly, this project will be held off until the 31st. Goddamnit Steam.
Scott Bakula
You could just verify the funds, it takes about a minute or two at best. All it does is put a minor hold on your credit card and ask for the amount that it charged the account, which you find by looking up your bank statement. Just tried it, and the two amounts weren't there. So naturally, I clicked the "I have a problem", "The two amounts are not showing up", and it told me to call the bank. Called 'em, didn't answer, so I read the rest of the 'solution', which is basically, "Oh, that didn't work? Well then fuck you, we can't be bothered to help". Scootaloo
Haunted Bat outta Hell? Ugly or not, it adds another color. Also, spring for a collectors item. Even just 1. Can't have your "rainbow" without a bit of red.
