So the problem is:

>people on outpost sell items for more than they're worth

>people here on backpack.tf use that over priced sell as suggestion

>repeat

see the problem?

give me some feed back on this please.

Ask Slocum points out, one sale isn't an outlier. But if a person sells an item for a high amount, and everyone else sells that same item for much less, then that high sale is treated as an outlier.

However, if everybody sells at that high price, then clearly it's not an outlier; it's the standard.

bptf is supposed to represent the most common trading point, you CAN'T ignore outpost when figuring out the most common trading point since so many people use it :<

That's how backpack.tf works Jak The Rapper.

We can't do anything about it if people think it's so muth worth.

We make these suggestions because we want to proof it sells and make the price even,

it's fair then because else people who only check backpack.tf for the price and for ex. only 1 page on TF2OP and they all are selling it for 1.5 buds inplace of 1 bud.

That's why we make suggestions so we can help these people.

Sure, let's just ban the site we get 90% of our proof from, no biggie. We'll just use evidence from bazaar.tf and tf2tp since clearly they're way more popular than Outpost. Hey, why don't we just start making suggestions based on classifieds alone? They don't show any history or indication of being sold, but who cares? I mean, we're just a website that manipulates prices so that we can become richer and richer. Why stop there? Let's just make you the new owner since your logic and reasoning and are way off the charts!

I question your intelligence and sexuality even after I've read the post. The only problem I see is your inability to comprehend how backpack.tf and the economy in general works. Please, take an economics class and learn the basics as to how an economy works. Also, I recommend you also learn how this website works too. We record prices at which items are being bought/sold at, not the price at which some highballers are highballing their stuff at. There's a reason why the saying "Selling =/= Sold" exists: it explains why backpack.tf's prices don't match the prices of highballers.

>people on outpost sell items for more than they're worth

>Actually sell for their higher price

>people here on backpack.tf use that over priced sell as suggestion

You're missing a step.

the difference is that they are actually able to sell for higher which is also why we just dont take sellers hence why alot of users here use the phrase:

✖        Selling =/= Sold

What people are selling for does not mean others are willing to buy for that price. Buyouts (B/o) won’t matter if the seller didn’t get what they asked for.

An example: Trades selling a weapon for a key each should not be factored into the new price if no trades have occurred.
