sooo I want to get my dad a new laptop.

What does he use it for?

- He doesn't game, or do any hardcore media processing

- It will be his new work laptop

Specs needed:

8GB RAM

i7 processor

13-14" screen

500GB HDD atleast

not more than 1.8 KG

1920x1080 or 1920x1200 screen. (HD)

Windows 8 is not required

Touch Screen is not required

I would love if you guys could gimme some options, not sony tho, my experience with sony laptops has been depressing and unsatisfactory.

do et sheldon. do et for the peeple.

if it was for me.....my dad doesn't game.

and even if I was buying a laptop for myself, I only go for ultrabooks, I have a desktop for what Alienware advertises its best for. ("Gaming") Minecraft

Fuck logic, get alienware. He gave you life, now you give him a badass laptop.

I'm perfectly fine with my Samsung Series 3 lol. My dad uses a Samsung Series 7 for his work computer and seems quite happy with that. Alienware is overrated garbage. Lenovo is also a fairly good brand for business applications but make sure not to get the lower end models (kinda flimsy production quality).

Yea, Lenovo makes some good quality PC's.

I myself have an ASUS but Lenovo is great for work (The thinkpad series)
