wallywalrus_ Posted November 28, 2014 Share Posted November 28, 2014 EDIT: A DIFFERENT PAIR OF HEADPHONES MAKES AUDIO NOT CUT OUT!!! IT STAYS ON! THAT MEANS ITS CORSAIR VENGEANCE 1500S FAULT. WHAT CAN IT BE THOUGH? Pleas help. Driving me up the wall. sound works for a moment, randomly it will cut off to nothing. It will not come back unless I use snd_restart. It works for a while, then again, randomly, it will cut off. The console repeats the string "Couldn't get sound buffer status." I have been told to: reinstall tf2 : done, nothing happened update drivers: done, nothing happened reinstall drivers: done, nothing happened please help, I can't play the game like this! Then FPS raises to the normal 60, and sound is gone. It won't restart unless I manually enter snd_restart into console. When I do that, it works but it still will change off randomly.
