Bibble-Bobble
Oh, forgot to mention but it seems logical, they want me to trade the hat away, like using a middleman.

The Radiated Banana
How is it a scam, how is it done? Like, does it transfer to him somehow?? It is gonna be a fake middle man. I think sir comes from some translator, or maybe they are trying to be more polite to put down ur guards?

I often call people sir/ma'am here or in real world. Its a nice gesture.
Shmurkle
How is it a scam, how is it done? Like, does it transfer to him somehow?? Once you trade your unusual to the trusted friend, an imposter of your account adds your friend or sends him a trade offer asking for the unusual(s) back. Your friend unknowingly trades the items back and ends up taking a role in you being scammed. I have no idea what I'm talking about, nvm

Although it would add the "(1)" to the name ex: Bibble-Bobble (1)

Usually on steam, only people from foreign countries call people sir, cuz of translator.
Water Salesman
How it works is usually you'll give them the profile link of your trusted friend, and then they'll copy your friends profile, picture name and everything. They usually put a period at the end so the 1 isn't there. After you trade the fake alt the hats they block you and boom, your hats are gone.
