The fps genre, how do you prefer it? [poll]

I'm curious on how you prefer this genre, it has had a lot of versions created from it and a lot of popular ones, receive a lot of hate while a lot of other love older ones because nostalgia and stuff.

But I want to know how you prefer it, feel free to say why in the discussion.

I prefer the modern military and WWII versions, they are much more fun. I hate the futuristic stuff (ie: titanfall,Advanced warfare Halo,)

I play TF2 on PC and Gotham City Impostors on XBOX (Mostly because it was free), and I have to say that those are my favorite kinds of shooters.

 

I dunno why everyone hates COD. Well, I do, but I honestly don't find it that annoying. There is a mute button for a reason

 

I just could never get into futuristic shooters.

I don't personally hate modern shooters but i've grown tired of playing them. They are overhyped and market is flooded of them

Love futuristic ones, Halo and Titanfall are two of my favorite games currently

Arena and arcade are good too, dislike realistic ones, not sure why

there are too many different versions of the FPS genre to list them all so I just list the ones I would be willing to programme.

I like open world fps like Borderlands, the Fallout Series and The Elder Scrolls (ye, i think they count as fps).

 

I dislike futuristic shooters the most.

The category's with tf2 and cs:go are my fav for fps', but I'm not a true fan of fps games,

I like an FPS that doesn't take itself too seriously, that's my main gripe with the genre in general. When I play a video-game I wanna relax, not feel hyper-pressurised to help the space-marines save the space-princess from the space...whatever. Space.

 

Hence I like Borderlands, I LOVE Team Fortress 2, and I'm prolly gonna love Destiny. The Core-thing is Wheatley-esque, which activates my happiness sensors.

 

And hence I dislike CoD. Along with all the other reasons to hate it (Hasn't changed in what, 10 years? Primary Demographic of angry 12 year olds, etc etc etc and so on and so forth. I could write about why I dislike CoD until the end of time itself.)
